Swarovski SLC 8×30 is great for sporting events

I’ve been watching a lot of football lately and it’s got me thinking about good optics for sporting events. I’m thinking an optic that is compact, wide field of view, easy to focus and follow plays. Not only could these binoculars serve as sporting event binoculars but also general purpose binoculars. My search brought me to the Swarovski SLC 8×30 binoculars. These binoculars are very easy to focus, with practice it can even be done with one hand. The compact size of the binoculars would make them easy to carry and handle, even if you just want to stick them in a jacket pocket. With a weight of 20.8 ounces, these binoculars could be carried all day tailgating and not encumber the user. If you have low seats, you can use the close magnification to see in detail who made the play, while if you’re like me stuck in the nose bleed section; the 8x magnification can get you in the action. With a field of view at 1000 yards of 408 feet, following the action is easy. Even though the SLC 8×30 binoculars have a smaller objective lens, they still perform pretty well in lower light conditions thanks to Swarovski’s great glass and coatings, so these binoculars could serve well as backup’s to a binocular with a much larger objective size because of this clarity. These binoculars would be great for any sport enthusiast or anyone looking for a compact binocular for general purpose. If the SLC binoculars don’t suit you, take a look at Swarovski EL 8×32 binoculars, they have a more open design, are slightly heavier and optically. You really can’t go wrong with any Swarovski SLC or Swarovski EL binocular. Take a hard look at these great binoculars before you head to your next sporting event, I know next LSU or Saints game I head to I’ll have a set in my hand or pocket.
